G.I.L (GOD IS LOVE)

 G.l.L was born in Plantation, Florida

but raised in the small town of Statesboro,

Georgia. She was a timid child who later

found she could freely speak through the

lyrics of poems and songs she wrote. Her

single-parent mother made sure that G.I.L

and her three siblings had a strong spiritual

foundation. This ensured that no matter

where she may have found herself in life,

she would always made her way back to her roots

in Christ. It was no coincidence that upon initially

connecting with her husband her love for writng music resurfaced. 

Today G.l.L is the mother of four beautiful children Mackenzie, Malachi, Derrick Ill, and Unity; and the wife of Derrick Gillis Jr. who is known by the artist

name XIIITH Disciple. She is a licensed minister, and has been known to operate under the prophetic anointing. She utilizes her gift to minister in the form of Christian Hip-Hop to those who have not always made the best decisions in life. Her goal is to spread God's Grace, Mercy, and above all else… Love.

Among all of the titles bestowed unto her, she takes most appreciation in the title of “Child Of God”, for without Him all else would not be possible.
